Internship Program

The internship program provides youth in secondary school and tertiary education with an opportunity to contribute to the wellbeing and progress of their communities by participating in small action-research initiatives in areas including education, health and nutrition and agriculture. The program involves a weekly pattern of study, action and reflection with the help of a tutor and mentor.

Internship Program:

For most young people, completing an internship is the first time they come into contact with work. The internship is seen as preparation for their future work. However, we see a trend that young people often experience an unpleasant and hierarchical working atmosphere during their internship, with the result that students often adopt the attitude of 'invest as little effort as possible in the internship and be done with it as quickly as possible'. Breakwell Institute therefore believes it is important that interns have a good experience with their internship, where they are encouraged to take ownership of their own development during their internship period and are encouraged to contribute to the development of their loved ones. We are convinced that a good experience with an internship is an important step towards doing meaningful work in the near future.
